This is what happened to me: for several days I couldn't here the sound of music from the Deezer Android app. I could not understand at all why this was happening. Then I realized that the sound in another Android app (cable TV app) was muted. Turned on the sound in this app and tried Deezer: I could here music again.
Tried it again several times and I can definitely confirm this behaviour: muting the sound (music, video) in one Android app results in muted sound in other Android apps. IMO this is a bug that needs to be fixed.
My question might be related or a duplicate of this one, but since that one is closed as "released in a software update", I thought it would be better to post this as a new question.
