On n900 i really liked that missed calls where reannounced every 5 minutes by a short bell sound until user confirms by viewing the notification or opens the call log. I found that very convinient on n900 if you missed a call because of moving through a loud area or beeing away from the phone during the incoming call. To add to the n900s behaviour i would like the audio notification to stop as soon as you unlock the first time after the missed call, having the chance to see the visual notification icon we already have. Another idea could be to have the option to "double flash" the photo LED or the screen to have other clear visual notification options in dark and loud places, like the ones i work at a lot.
As i can imagine this could also be distracting or annoying to some users and clearly uses up some batterypower, i would like to have it configurable via -> Settings -> Apps -> call app -> "missed call reminder" options: [audiotone] [LEDflash] [screenflash] [notification area] [non] [reappear every ... min]
