How to fix corrupted system memory?

I've been sailing abroads this week (in Germany) with my jolla and I've been having a lot of problems with the device. First it was just random reboots (maybe like 3-5 times a day). My initial guess was that it had something to do with different roaming networks, but now I think that it might also be because of the memory and swap got full (I was using Halftrail a lot and kept other programs in the background like Gallery, SailTime, Media... and so on). One time I looked at SailTime it showed all memory used and about half of the swap used. I know that the Linux kernel goes hunting and killing processes if the memory gets full.

Then after about the 12th reboot or so, the device got stuck at the "jolla" boot image, and I had to take the battery out in order to get the device booting normally. Everything seemed fine after that, but know I noticed, that after this hard reboot: - no new photos are saved to the gallery (can't see them either if I plug the device to a computer) - I get notification of new text messages, but I can't see them either thru Persons or Messages. My own sent messages aren't saved either.

My conclusion is, that the system memory is probably corrupted and maybe in read only mode. I've not used btrfs myself before, but the symptoms are the same as with ext2 and the like... So how can I fix that?

How to fix corrupted system memory?Text messages and pictures are not being saved

Edit: just to make sure; However, I can see all the text messages and photos that were taken before the hard reboot.reboot. How can I fix this issue?
