I use(d) Russian as main UI language yet most of my contacts use the latin alphabet mostly for historical and compatibility reasons (you never know how this or that phone imports cyrillic stuff). And then almost all my contacts are in a big bunch under the # character.. Had to switch to English UI.
I am not sure how it is with the other alphabets, what happens with Chinese hieroglyph in this case or what if in some Western language a name starts with the diacritical character.
In my personal case, it would be great to show both Latin or Cyrillic alphabet in People (actually even just hardcoding latin would be good enough for me personally). In general? I am not sure. Does anybody have an idea for a solution?
