Update 20-4-2014: For me it got even worse with the update to 1.0.5.16! Before this update my Jolla just rebooted sometimes, but now the screen just goes black - in some cases I have to boot it up again by pressing the power-button and in some other cases I have to take the battery out. After inserting it back in most cases it boots up by itself. Still the same issues after resetting and reinstalling the updates.

edit 1-1-2014... so did a complete reset of my Jolla, upgraded again to latest firmware, masked the other half services.. lets see if this solves the reboot problem

Update 29-3-2014: Back here again ... sad face. The new update introduced this bug with me again.. Currently I have an average of 6 shutdowns a day. My jolla is of no use right now. Posted a request on zendesk.. but the answer somewhere down page 3 with the folded paper to push up the battery could be it.. can not repoduce anymore!!!

Update 20-4-2014: For me it got even worse with the update to 1.0.5.16! Before this update my Jolla just rebooted sometimes, but now the screen just goes black - in some cases I have to boot it up again by pressing the power-button and in some other cases I have to take the battery out. After inserting it back in most cases it boots up by itself. Still the same issues after resetting and reinstalling the updates.

Update 18-6-2014: Even with 1.0.7.16 this issue is still present.

Update 07-07-2014: Still on 1.0.7.16, and still frequent shutdowns. To me it looks like this only happens with low battery (under 50%). This has to be solved asap!

From Several users seem to have an issue with the last update phone rebooting by itself. User testing has revealed that it most likely has something to do with the battery. If this is happening to you, there are two ways you can most likely solve the problem. You can either:

• take out the phone battery, and getting more frequent my Jolla rub all contact areas on the battery and the phone with a regular eraser, then just randomly turns black put the battery back in.
• take a small piece of paper and completely shuts down. It happens when in use put it between the bottom of the battery and when its on standby. It really is getting annoying. Any body else experiencing this?the phone, so it makes better contact.

Update (2014-02-14) As mentioned here it seems there will It would be provided a bug fix for this issue in nice to read an official statement on the first week of March hence I added the 'roadmap' tag to this question as well.

edit 06.04.2015 (MacManus): i noticed that my jolla reboots on weak network connections (can't reproduce in wlan). If i'm in an area with weak network, my jolla constantly reboots. If i didn't activate my sim, the phone didn't reboot. As soon as i activate sim and get mobile network connection, the jolla reboots. reboots.

Edit 20.05.2015: Anyone with this problem please see this answer, it seems that they finally have a clue about how to fix this issue.
