Last night I found an org.mozilla.firefox process running without having Firefox open. Several hours had passed since last using firefox. Apparently, and according to jolla this should not happen. Also, in comments to the above mentioned question, as well as comments to the question Why not shutdown aliendalvik after closing last Android app? people have reported receiving notifications from android apps without the app being open.

EDIT: Just to be clear: I've not been able to reproduce this after last night, so it does apparently not occur often. Anyway, I think it's something that should be investigated, especially since I also recall reading here on together about a skype process starting by itself (e.g. here./?answer=61425#post-id-61425)).

EDIT2: Since some users think that Skype's behavior is the expected one, let's forget about that example and stick with my original problem with that 'orphaned' firefox process.process. Just to make it clear: IMHO there should be a clear rule which determines whether or not an app can have background services. So I also see the Skype process as part of the bug, also because it just sometimes appears, not always.
