Since the update to 1.1.7.24 both phone speaker and music volume are barely audible....
I'd be happy to trouble shoot more but beyond using the volume rocker and trying to find something in settings I have nothing.
Update 30/jul/2015 - 1.1.7.25: The volume is now a lot better, I am not 100% sure if it is back to pre 1.1.7.x levels but it's definitely a lot louder then 1.1.7.24.

You can use terminal command for first aid: pactl set-sink-volume sink.primary 175% Althought you need to do it again after reboot and depending of the value the ring tone can distort, but atleast you can listen to music throught the speakers and its quite fast to set again with up arrow on terminal, mine is on 200%
I'll try it, but I think I should not have to do that, it would be nice to know Jolla is looking at it.

Something with bigger better speakers. Maybe it can even be combined with new revisions of TOHKBD or other Other Halfs :)

I see a number of comments here where users suggest some command to fix an issue. A lot of those are ones that should be fixed in the OS / software and not require users to run these commands. Commands should be for tweaks that you want, not to get reasonably expected functionalities.

Until Jolla will add option to increase volume, I created simple package for this, working also after reboot (thanks to @haste for idea).

@schturman I created a small gui which shows and saves the current maximum volume here: https://github.com/llelectronics/maxvol
This should pass harbour test as is currently but does not include the systemd service file to make the change persistent over reboot.
I am currently figuring out if it is possible to ship this systemd service file without breaking harbour rules. If you have any knowledge on this feel free to help me and we can discuss this further on github

I've tried to modify /system/etc/snd_soc_msm/snd_soc_msm_Sitar Sound on my headset gets louder, but on some heavy beats in music, phone acts like I've disconeccted and again connected my headset (music gets paused). Could some one give me an idea, what's wrong? Yes, I know, that the loud music damages hearing, and I don't care it. I understand all consequences about hearing damage.
