When I connect my phone using USB I get "Diagnostic mode" instead of "Internet sharing" (or whatever it used to be), also the icon is just a cog (like "developer mode") while IIRC it used to be the "internet icon".

Internet sharing itself works fine, haven't tried/needed developer mode so far.

Update 30/jul/2015 - 1.1.7.25: The dialog has not changed.

Confirmed on 1.1.7.28; latest stable version available to all users. I suspect you have installed previously the USB internet tethering by (unofficially) doing:

pkcon install usb-moded-connection-sharing-android-config

When you plug the usb cable, the icon is indeed changed to a cog and a "diagnostic mode" label and USB internet tethering is broken.

In my case, the fix is to remove that package: pkcon remove usb-moded-connection-sharing-android-config

and install instead (notice the connman): pkcon install usb-moded-connection-sharing-android-connman-config

Then reboot. When I plug the usb cable, I still get a cog with a label "Diagnostic mode" but now, picking up this choice is fine, internet sharing over USB works again.

Cheers.

Maybe you ran into https://together.jolla.com/question/95261/bug-update-11627-breaks-unofficial-usb-tethering/

Anyway the UI will be fixed soon.
