Suddenly the Jolla Weather app disappeared from events view, although app was marked as installed in Store. I uninstalled it, then tried to reinstall and i get "problem with store, cannot install weather". Nevertheless i can install and update other apps from Jolla store, except this one. What is wrong?

[EDIT 02.09.2015] After updating Sailfish OS to latest version, problem was solved. Of course root cause has not been found, but can't have all.

There are several problem with store for some user, as reported here. I think that you have a similar issue...

I run btrfs-balancer balance, but this didn't fix the issue with Weather app in store.

Reopened as I am suddenly experiencing a similar problem in 1.1.9.

I have been a long-time user of Meecast but the 1.1.9 UI change made the lockscreen widget obsolete. Whilst I am waiting for a solution, I thought I would give Sailfish Weather a whirl. Sadly, no luck. Please note that I have not used it before and my installation attempt after an upgrade to 1.1.9 was the first ever installation.

The Store client goes "downloading..." for a while and then it just returns back to the state as it was before. It may pop up an error for a second but I do not watch the phone 24/7 and may have missed it. There is certainly no indication in the client that an installation attempt has ever taken place.

There is one in the events view, it just says "Problem with installing", and under it, in a smaller font, "Weather".

The command-line install goes like this:

,---

It may be pertinent that about a day or so earlier, during a big download, my Jolla suddenly popped up a "Problem with store" error. No idea how that was related to the download but never mind. I then, perhaps foolishly, did 'Rebuild app registry' in Utilities. After that, most of my Openrepos settings were lost and I had to renew them. Could some default Jolla repos have been reset as well?

Just to clarify - as far as I can tell, Weather is the only app I have problems with. I obviously did not try all of them, but I tried four random others and they all installed fine.

You have 'latest' as the ssu release, which won't work

You need to do

ssu re 1.1.9.28

and try again

Thanks. That indeed did the trick although I am a bit baffled as I did not put it there myself. If a Jolla update changed it to 'latest' then it should be able to cope with the consequences. Ho-hum.

Topic re-closed.

The system update doe snot change it to latest at any point, it uses specific os versions. So if you haven't changed it your self, I would suspect that you have something from the several openrepos that fiddles with the ssu release version.

It may have been the repository reset through Sailfish Utilities that's done it. I may give it a try when I feel brave enough. Anyway, thanks for your help.
