Can't close apps in multitasker

quite often long pressing a card in the multitasker does not lead to showing the x symbol for closing apps

mja ( 2014-01-05 14:34:00 +0200 )editMe neither. Are you sure you don't accidentally start a swipe to the home page/apps page, or a "cover action" while trying to long press the cover?

It's not an inadvertent cover action as a long press anywhere on the home screen (though not the 4 application icons) should bring the task killer up. Sadly I don't remember the resolution but I suspect I just rebooted the phone.
