Sometimes my phone rings whatsapp ringtones while phone is muted. It's really annoying when you are situation like meeting and your pocket start ringing even your phone is muted. This has happened many times in earlier release and now after update this problem is still on. I have tried to figure why this happens but without success. Phone restart solve this problem, but that's not very practical.

Edit: Phone restart helps earlier release. Now it won't. I reinstall whatsapp but no help for this. Sounds comes through while phone is muted. Only way to silence whatsapp is set volume to zero :(

Edit: Now sounds comes through only when app is active. Which isn't nice either. if I'm writing message i get "pling" when sending message and if someone sends message when writing I'll get message voice. Quite annoying.

have you enabled the app background service in app settings? I think this may happen then. Got that behavior for Subsonic when I did the same.

@Larswad - IMHO it shouldn't happen. Android apps should respect the system volume settings, but for some reason they follow the media volume setting. So, maybe a bug or a needed feature request. :)

Yes I enabled, but as I said this was happening earlier release (1.1.6.27) too. Before 1.1.6.27. I haven't noticed this kind of problems.
