After update to 1.1.7.28 my sim contacts are not shown any more in peoples app although automatic contact import is checked in peoples app settings.

Additional info: Affected contacts are those provided by my operator drei.at: 3Box for voice box, etc. Before update these contacts had been listed in # section.

I went back over the changelogs and bug reports, I cannot find any significant change to SIM contact handling. Which version did you update from? Did you upgrade to an early-access release of 1.1.7 or only the full-release one? Aside from the "operator provided" ones, are all other SIM contacts available in your People app?

@chris.adams: I have upgraded from 1.1.6 to 1.1.7 directly. Affected are all SIM contacts. (It is only operator provided contacts that I have stored on SIM card, all other come from two Google accounts.)

I'm also unable to reproduce this on 1.1.7.28. Works fine here (as it did with 1.1.6).

I tried to check sim contacts with another phone. As my sim was not even detected in the other phone, it was obvious that my sim card was somehow (partly?) broken. After replacement of the sim card all sim contacts are again visible in peoples app.

Problem solved!
