Browser: Sort favorites [duplicate]
Hi,
- It would be nice to be able to sort the favorites.

Hi,

This can already be done by manually editing ~/.local/share/org.sailfishos/sailfish-browser/bookmarks.json
(developer mode required).
However this is not a suitable solution for end users and I agree that I would be great if it was possible to rearrange the bookmarks in the Sailfish browser though the GUI, either by long-press, select move up/down or in Settings -> Applications.
A long press could make the affected link in the bookmarks list movable up, down or out onto the shortcut homescreen. The result would be that the context menu item that appear at the moment could be activated by a tap at left, middle or right in the bookmarks list on the screen where the link shows. This in turn would require a visual way, like a background image, like a watermark, shade or icon to indicate the part of the screen to tap to get the desired outcome. Long press to get a menu that I use all the time surely shaves minutes of useful time off my days.
BTW, there seems to be a scrolling regression (failue to scroll on focus-drag) in the textarea on web forms now.

Or at least it would be fine to sort them automatically depending on how much times they are visited like on N900 (I think). It would be even better if automatic sorting takes into account recent usage frequency to avoid new favorites to be stuck below older ones.
unai_i ( 2014-01-03 14:25:43 +0300 )editWe could even say that the favorite icons/pages could be a little bit smaller to have a better overview.
damourti ( 2014-01-03 18:43:11 +0300 )editThis should be implemented. And possibility for creating folders for favourites.
Zagothal ( 2014-01-13 17:00:14 +0300 )editI don't really know why, but this feels even more urgent with the new update (1.1.2.16). I rwally like the new interface, but the favorite page seems a litte bit clustered.
