Jolla apps not updated with 1.1.9.28

After upgrading to 1.1.9.28 the new UI is available (BTW: great stuff) but I got some popups saying that applications like calendar, mail, etc. cannot be updated as the latest version is already installed. Looking at the store I see that these are apparently still older revisions, e.g.

Calendar: Version: 0.6.3 Installed: 0.6.3 Updated: 20:54, 12.05.15 Released: 01:00, 10.11.13

Is there a workaround to fix this (e.g. using the terminal)?

I don't get this error, but I'm irritated because the release notes mention

Refreshed layouts for Calendar, Jolla Store, Clock, Email and Camera

I can spot a minor change in the camera UI, but all the other apps are exactly as they used to be before. Maybe this is also because they simply weren't updated?

I think they got updated. Compare the installed version with the one mentioned in previous comments in the store: they differ

That's exactly what causes confusion to me: I have no clue if they have actually been updated but the error popups and release notes imply this. Can anybody give a hint on this?

Calendar app looks a little different I think, with weekdays visible at top..?
