I had around 30% battery. Rebooted the phone. Getting back up it reports 0%, stating it will soon shutoff (and so it did).

Putting in charger, booting again, now 30% battery.

Temporary glitch or something that happens now and then?

If this is recognized by several Jollaz, please report here.

A week or so before the 1.1.9.28 update came I had a similar issue. It happend while a link from tweetian opened in the browser. Suddenly the percentage went from ~35% or so to 10%. Then rebooting the phone and it showed the percentage from before the sudden drop. I could not reproduce that behaviour.

Alex: Sounds weird though, I know about the old contact problem, but this seems related to happen after a reboot or such. I think actually I've seen it before but don't remember when.

can add to that. I was playnig Fallout Shelter for a little while and out of a sudden the percentage went from 62 to 5 and the phine shut down. I turned it back on and it showed 52% right from the start. However, i don't think it's a software side issue. I got this quite a few times since i have the phone which is quite a few months.

Did you already tried this official workaround mentioned by Jolla for improving the contact to the battery pins?

If you shouldn't be aware of the following threads don't hesitate to have a look at them: Wiki for improving the contact and personal log by kimmoli about the cause of some bad battery contact issues. :)

I also don't think that this is a software issue - the Jolla is facing some hardware issues and I also already experienced this battery drops but cleaning contacts and doing the workaround (repetitive) mentioned by Jolla sorted this issues out for me.
