webbrowser usability fail

I participate in Norstat's surveys. They have an Android app for that, but some surveys can only be done in a webbrowser. The Jolla browser gives me (as with a LOT of pages) trouble because it is basically a hell hitting the radiobuttons. It seems as the old miss-click bug is still here (some 12 or 13 releases ago since reported) , some of the "continue" buttons doesn't simply work, they can't be clicked because the browser thinks they are located somewhere else on screen. It is impossible to complete one full survey, the jolla browser does its best to irritate me beyond sanity. Not to mention the edit fields that zoom in and out without any appearant plan. The positioning of the visible view after zooming is just way off, and sometimes.it zooms out when its supposed to do the opposite. It zooms in with varying degree as well, no consistensy.

Given up on three or four different surveys by now.

So trying to open it in a different browser that is reliable, like chrome, well now the unbelievable starts. The webbrowser can't share a link to the current page to the clipboard, only mail for some reason. A simple function for putting a link to the current page in clipboard???

And then trying the survey link in the mail app, I would have expected long press in there to give me the possibility to put the link in clipboard...well.of course that doesn't work. By now I would have long time ago ditched the native browser and let some other do the job...only that there really is no way to specify Mime and app association in jolla, so switching browser is not really possible.

These simple things doesn't work with my Jolla, and its pushing me away from Sailfish OS for every day that goes by. Its simply too many things that should work but just leaves me with either a desktop computer or an android.tablet to complete the task at hand. And a feeling that Jolla has a problem finding the right priorities even if there's a large community pointing out the most basic usability issues.

Or am I doing something wrong?

I don't know for doing right or wrong, but there's one way to copy a link from the native browser in Jolla and that is to go to the address field and drag the marking handle from the full text and then back to select full text again. Jolla's copy algorithm only copies when the marking changes...

Indeed that worked Mohjive, although quite subtle way to.access it.

Tab and hold in the address field should also copy the link to clipboard.

You're very right! The standard browser is very poor. Many websites don't work at all, rendering of pages often uses a very small font, some basic functions are missing, it's extremely slow at times, and it seems to be the biggest cause of oom-killing. It's overall not a nice browser to use.

I have a strong feeling the tablet version is just as nasty as the phone version.
