Cannot enable developer mode

I recently had to do factory reset by reflash my Jolla phone by dd'ing factory image. After that I entered my Jolla and Google account data, installed several apps and updated to 1.1.9.28. Then I tried to enable development mode via settings. Progress indicator went 1/4 of its length, and then process stopped; I also recieved notification from Jolla Store wit title "Problem with installing" and body "Package jolla-developer-mode was not found in Store".

Is there anything I can do to solve it?

I had the same problem. It tries to open the web browser to open a login page for Harbour in that phase if I remember correctly.

Also, the installation does not work if you have warehouse (open-repos, maybe other third-party marketplaces too) installed. I got mine working after re-installing the operating system from scratch and enabling developer mode without warehouse

I had a similar problem with the Weather app. Changing the SSU release from "latest" to "1.1.9.28" fixed it. See @Keto's comment in my thread.

@czarkoff where did you get the factory image? And was there some reason you had to do the factory reset like that, instead of the normal way?

@Keto I've got an image from here (via this post). It is not actually a factory image but a mere backup of 28th partition of eMMC.

The reason was that I couldn't boot my phone and reset from recovery mode didn't work for me.

So the right answer was: reset. This question may be closed as answered.

To me factory reset is a workaround. Too much work reinstalling everything, especially those Android apps which never seem to get native counterparts. A dozen or so accounts to reactivate, password resets across your devices.. Not worth the pain - again. I'll try and learn to live without the power I once was granted. Being a guinea pig and paying full price for is it frustrating.

Well, I also have other issues with my Jolla. Broken glass is definitely my own fault, but "dis ding" is not working as it should. So please forgive if any bitterness is found in my writing... Mostly I miss the camera, but that's another issue.
