After updating to [1.1.9.28] unable to access scdard from Android app [duplicate]

Before updating to 1.1.9.28 Eineheminlampi the phone allowed(?) access to the sdcard through an Android app, but now after updating it doesn't.

Has there been changes in the access policy for Android apps or might this just be user error? (Though, hardly I can blame myself: if the app had access to the sdcard just last week before updating and now it doesn't..)

The Android app is a geocaching utility that goes by the name c:geo. The user can set a desired directory with offline maps for offline use where the default path points to /home/nemo/android_storage.

When trying to navigate to /media/sdcard/[scdardnumber]/cgeo/maps (where the offline map-file is located) it is not possible to get past the [sdcardnumber] for whatever reason.

It is possible to get past [sdcardnumber] with utility such as File Browser, so I'm guessing mounting of the sdcard is a ok.
