Connection to a hidden SSID fails after internet sharing is used
Connection to a hidden SSID fails after internet sharing is used.
How to reproduce:
- Connect to a wi-fi with hidden SSID.
- Share Jolla’s mobile net over wi-fi.
- Disable Jolla’s internet sharing.
- You can no longer connect to the wi-fi network with hidden SSID.
It does not reconnect even if I reboot the phone. The only way to reconnect is to temporarily unhide the SSID. (Or maybe to completely re-add the network to Jolla but that would be harder.) Jolla reconnects to the wi-fi network as soon as I unhide it. It keeps connected even if I hide it again.
What security protocol your hidden WiFi uses (wpa/wpa2/web/...)? Does changing that have any impact on this issue?

Shadow ( 2015-10-04 14:10:20 +0200 )editbecause it causes your device to broadcast your SSID wherever it goes. As you say, you're using WPA2, hiding your SSID gains you nothing.
