Micro SDHC loses files
Hey. I've had this problem on my Jolla since I got it on summer. Trying to store video files on Micro SDHC -card, but they disappear. The used amount of storage in card stays the same, but no files appear. Files play normally for a while, but later are gone.
I've tried several different sizes, from 8GB to 256GB. Cards are formatted to FAT32 on computer to make them readable on Jolla, since exFAT is not supported.
EDIT: Sailfish version 1.1.9.28. Had this problem on earlier OS too tho. I've tried both ways of storing the files to the card: through the phone, and straight from card reader on computer. Used/free space doesn't change when files "disappear".
How do you store them? Do you remove the card from your phone?
Philippe De Swert ( 2015-10-21 14:49:12 +0200 )editDo you mean that used/free space doesn't change when videos "disappear"? If so, they are still there, probably with "root" ownership. Try to browse them with root privileges (https://openrepos.net/content/schturman/startasroot-file-browser)
objectifnul ( 2015-10-21 16:15:07 +0200 )editWhat version of SailfishOS are you using? The latest public one seems to have issues with mounting the card to Alien Dalvik properly, just in case you're watching them with Android apps instead of native SailfishOS ones.
MoritzJT ( 2015-10-21 16:52:23 +0200 )editBy the way, "startasroot-file-browser" will also allow to edit files and folders properties and permissions. For example you may grant read access to everybody (including Aliendalvik).
