Problem: I created an ambience from our company logo. Worked as expected, only the colors the Jolla Phone chose for highlighting, text etc. don't quite fit our corporate identity guidelines. (Actually, Jollas choice looks better, but...)

So I realized I'd seen additional parameters for exactly such colors in /usr/share/ambience - but it seems only the stock ambiences are found there, not the ones I created myself. Now: Where does Sailfish store the information about my personal ambiences? Must be some place, right? An ambience can have own ringtones, volume, can be a favorite or not... I'd expect there'd be a directory stucture, a gconf key or some tracker voodoo to store this? And if there is, can I also change colors from there?

I haven't located the config files for ambiences, but the color which Jolla selects can be tricked: You can modify the logo image to greyscale and add the desired color for just one pixel, like described here

@simo can't read your site with Jolla, too many pop-up windows :P

@jjone to see the site and great article by @simo, use the upper left menu of the site and choose classic theme. This way you can navigate to article again.

You can add ?m=1 to the end of the url (done here). Some mobile browsers are not recognized as mobile by blogspot.

applies sameway to other articles you have done at blogspot - right?

I also found this question, which had link to very good article on this subject https://together.jolla.com/question/268/how-to-adjust-image-for-ambience/

For manually tuning the color at runtime (until you switch the ambience again), you can use gconftool-2 as described here.

Thank you; I had seen the values in the gconf-tree before; they just don't help as long as they're not persistent. Of course I want my colors to be tied to the image the way colors are tied to stock ambiences in /usr/share/ambience in the *.ambience files. :(

@ossi1967 - I realise this is NOT the long-term answer you're looking for, but I can make ambiences with any highlight colour you like. Let me know, I'd be happy to make one for you.
