I am wondering if there is a chance for a kernel update or even some info on the kernel run by the tablet version of the SailfishOS. I was hoping to use the tablet as a replacement for my laptop. ;)

Tablet has 3.10 based kernel. We are not planning on updating from this major version to a newer one. Focus of development on tablet kernel is on security, stability, and performance fixes.
@kjokinie This is good, I was afraid it will ship with the the same kernel version as the phone has. As far as I remember docker should run on 3.8+ Having said that, other technologies are worth exploring as well. I really cannot wait for that tablet!

the current stand is zero day leak is inside and could not be keep inside
after that how good is it a backport for a good traceability by quality??? i guess it is not so good!.
Even if for the customer which would think always that's inside is a leak, despite of the communication of the patch-action.
How far could trust the customer against the provider?

I'm just curious why you want newer version of kernel ? OS for phone or tablet should be stable so updating everything to the newest version it's not the best idea.
