Will there be a linux kernel update?
I am wondering if there is a chance for a kernel update or even some info on the kernel run by the tablet version of the SailfishOS. I was hoping to use the tablet as a replacement for my laptop. ;)

I'm just curious why you want newer version of kernel ? OS for phone or tablet should be stable so updating everything to the newest version it's not the best idea.

strayobject ( 2015-11-05 00:46:29 +0200 )edit@atlochowski A good reason would that we are using btrfs, and their mainpage says:
"The Btrfs code base is under heavy development. Not only is every effort being made to ensure that it remains stable and fast but to make it more so with each and every commit. This rapid pace of development means that the filesystem improves noticeably with every new Linux release so it's highly recommended that users run the most modern kernel possible."
