Hello,

It would be great to have the list of email addresses of an email (taken from the fields From: To: and so on) as a SilicaListView with an option to link to contact. So one can easily update or expand his contact details.

Looks like a duplicate of https://together.jolla.com/question/7198/people-save-email-address/. If so please close.

Think this is about "Email Info" view, if so not a duplicate.

It's not a duplicate. I imagine a way to collect addresses from the detail view. Currently, these addresses are not clickable.

There may be a pulley menu in the detail view, call collect addresses or something else. It would list the addresses that are not already known from the contact book and propose to create new contact or link one address to a selected contact.

This would certainly increase the usability.

Sorry, I read the answer only today. Unfortunatelly the implementation is really basic, to be fair. It doesn't recognize an already existing contact and it takes only the address part of a mail-field and not the real name. Eg: in a mail from John Doe john.doe@mail.orgonly john.doe@mail.org will be used to save/update a contact. I'd like if it could recognize and enumerate any email address and phone numbers in a message, not just the ones coming from the headers...

That's a basic feature today in a modern mobile mail client. Android apps are even able to suggest me a list of contacts to update, if the app hasn't been able to recognize the correct one by itself. I've been one of the earliest fan of SailfishOS and I still defend and support it in public when needed, but after more than a year of daily usage I'm a bit disappointed today, since I still need to bring an Android phone with me to accomplish every task Jolla can't handle: a reliable google-calendar sync, a good mail<->contacts integration, a decent web-browser (not to mention how frustrating is to browse on the hugly Jolla's screen...). I don't need anything special, just a few basic features that every smartphone should have right in the box.
