People application search bug [released]

When searching in the People application and typing letters only four names are shown even if the are actually more results. However it's possible to drag the list of matches up/down as if search matches more people. After selecting a name and returning back all matches are displayed. Search must always return all matches, not only the first four.

As a workaround you can scroll up a bit and the keyboard should be minimized. After that you should be able to see all the results (as H1777 said).

The problem seem to also occur when you fast scroll (swipe).

I do get only 4 visible contacts but as you swipe up and down in the results area you will eventually see all results after keyboard gets minimized. I don't need to select a contact and then come back to see all the results. That said...still need to do a bit of swiping before all results get shown anyway.

Yes, but the keyboard is not minimized automatically. When you scroll down you will just see empty space which is scroll-able and this makes it even less intuitive. So certainly a bug.

@Nux: how do you see empty space? When I try to scroll the list, the keyboard minimizes, and the full-size list is revealed...

It seems this is fixed in 1.0.2.5.

Yes, now it is fixed. Can't reproduce the same bug.

@MattVogt I confirm that this is now fixed. At the end of the list when you fast scroll down (fast swipe from bottom to top) then the scroll might lock, but that's not a big problem - it unlocks when you slow scroll up.
