This post is a wiki. Anyone with karma >75 is welcome to improve it.
Add ability to use camera flashlight as a lightsource when filming video in dark environments.
(This answer is transferred to wiki post in order to prevent getting karma from it. However if you like the idea, please give your vote.)
Edit:
Finally the latest Sailfish OS 2.0.2.51 Aurajoki release supports this feature. :)
Nicr idea, like it worked with N9. Have you tried to use Flashlight app to turn on the led and then recording the video?
goldenm ( 2014-01-08 18:54:51 +0200 )editNot yet but I'll give it a try! Edit: Apparently I find it is not possible to use both simultaneously, since flashlight app works only when it is active app and leaving the app will shut down the light.

MikErk ( 2015-03-27 16:04:40 +0200 )editFor me, this option was not in the last update (Aurojoki) and is also not in the new EA update (Fiskarsinjoki). Not that I do much videoing of a night time, but it could be very handy.
Spam Hunter ( 2016-10-05 18:32:18 +0200 )edit@Markkyboy Maybe the new camera package got missing on the update - try to execute
version --dup
in the terminal to install missing/not updated packages. :)Or you just don't see the option in the camera app? You have to open camera, pull down the options menu and activate the video mode, then in video mode again pull down the options menu and right next to the option to switch between picture/video mode there is the option to manually turn on the flashlight.
