touch screen not responding

Most of the time my touch screen is not responding. Even after a restart I am not able to input my SIM pin. After several restarts sometimes it starts working again.
If I manage to input my SIM pin, the touch screen keeps working for approximately one day. It can stop working various situations, eg. an incoming call, an incoming SMS, when I try to unlock my phone, ...
If the touch screen does not work, it doesn't respond to anything. Not to swipes, touches, double tap,...
I have a few androids apps but I never use them. I use the latest version of sailfish. Or let's say it's at least installed, I cannot use my phone right now.
Am I the online one with this problem? It's very sad that I have no option left. The device is completely unreliable, even if I only want to use it as a regular phone.
Bye bye Jolla, bye bye sailfish. I tried for more than two years and I am very disappointed but I still hope I can come back some day. Keep my money from the tablet but please, please, make something that works and try to communicate more correctly.
