I am trying to upgrade my Jolla to 2.0.1.7 but when I start the optimization it start normally then after a while it interrupts and I have to restart, in loop. Since the optimization is a necessary step I can't upgrade. Am I the only one?

Same problem for me. See my comment to OP here: https://together.jolla.com/question/126892/release-notes-201taalojarvi-early-access/

You need to free up some space, maybe move pictures videos out of the way or remove some android game data?!

@thunderbug and you all actually

enospc errors mean there is no space left on device - means no chunks can be relocated as for that you need free space.

#btrfs fi show
ERROR: unable get label Inappropriate ioctl for device
    Label: 'sailfish' uuid:########-####-####-####-############
Total devices 1 FS bytes used 10.23GiB
             devid 1 size 13.75GiB used 13.75GiB path /dev/mmcblk0p28

The UUID does not need to be masked, that is no trade secret and probably all the same for all devices with the same flashing image ;)

But right to the bottom of things, reading that output right, FS bytes used 10.23GiB is the actual data usage while the interesting part is devid as that is the actual usage by FS+metadata+data which is in the case above 100%

Thanks @chemist, will try removing even more data and apps. I know I don't have to mask disk UUID - I manually typed out all that shell output by reading from phone screen and typing to desktop PC and couldn't be bothered copying the UUID character for character. Easier just to put # instead!

Ok...

I did that 'btrfs balance start -dusage=100 /' but i don't know if that help.. got error

What i did: You should use:

#btrfs-balance balance

You can follow how long it can run... Use Memory app from jolla store. Delete/remove you videos and backups from the phone! I did managed to get it to 100% with 6,7Gb free memory (in my a** "need 1.5Gb")

#btrfs fi show

Shows me like: devid 1 size 13.75GiB used 10.25GiB path /dev/mmcblk0p28

1.5Gb of free space required... BULLSHIT!

I had the same problem. I solved it by deleting all the backups (I saved it to the SC card before deleting it). Yes, the 1.5Gb don't seem to be enough in some cases. I needed about 3.75Gb to get it done. Also the UI dialog before the upgrade should tell you that the balance operation failed, currently it doesn't say anything about this.

I had 3.7 Gb free when I perform the optimization...

Cool. Having to blank your phone before update... jolla scares me more and more.
