Hello!

Please write all port requests here as answers, and see how many upvotes we can get, to guide our great community porters, current and future ones. Remember to tick the "community wiki" box! Thanks!

Before you do, check maybe someone's already on it:
https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris
https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris/porters

Passive (old) ports are also welcome to appear down here, so they can get picked up and worked on again, seeing that there's interest! Feel free to comment under each answer, if port has definite blockers (locked bootloader etc), but other stalled ports can be resurrected

@JSE, aggregating choices to one vote-able answer biases the poll and might even conceal the intended outcome. We should rather split them to one answer each.

lakutalo ( 2016-02-01 16:21:36 +0300 )edit

Agreed, only one device per answer, and let's not put specs as answers - increases complexity. If you want e.g. 8-10" range, check back regularly and upvote matching answers

Turn this into a wiki and add the suggested devices to the main post so people wont duplicate th entries so much.

But we won't know their upvotes nor respective discussions, also a maintenance nightmare

I am surprised nobody wants to port for Amazon Tablets, arguably the most popular tablets around and at the price point perfect for tinkering and mucking with porting.

Fire HD 8 tablet 1280x800 res 189ppi quad core 1.3GHz Mediatek MT8163 Cortex-A53 design 1.5 GB of Ram 16GB internal memory expandable 200GB external memory through SD card Already ported with Amazon Fire OS (android layer)

LeEco Le Max 2.

I bought one myself, and can't wait for the new HADK 2.0 for 64bit machines to come out. Maybe I could even try porting it myself.

Heyyo, I'd also love to see SailfishOS on the LeEco Le Max 2. Hopefully you or one of the other awesome community developers is able to accomplish this. I enjoy using MultiROM so SailfishOS would be an amazing alternative. :)

Huh, that's great. They even released the source code for the proprietary parts! An instantly trustworthy vendor.

@nthn - So what's your issue with that? They screwed up, but if Mediatek isn't bothered by it why should we be?

@sifartech: no sarcasm intended, I think it's brilliant and every company should do this.

SHIFT5me

I actually would love to buy a Shiftphone e.g. the SHIFT5me as my next Phone.

Especially with their efforts in making phones more social and environmental friendly as a small family buisness, I think it is worth supporting them.

A Port for the new HMD Nokia 9 would be great.

Generally Ports for HMD and BQ devices would be great in the feature.

Just the idea to have an actual "Nokia" with SFOS on it....fits somehow..and I would like to have an up to date hardware not always this 5MP Cams with 2GB Ram things for 250€... I know SFOS doesn't need much ressources but I can't accept so high prices for so outdated hardware anymore. My Intex costed roughly 80 and has (on paper) the same.

A clean up to date Nokia Hardware with an opened bootloader..i think I could not resist

From the Pine64 blog:

We’ve also had our first look at Sailfish OS running on the PinePhone. The short demo shows the UI being quite responsive when entering and exiting the settings app, and scrolling though the different options seems very smooth as well. From what I can tell a lot has been done in the graphics driver driver, in this case Lima, to make this possible on mainline.
