jollaCommunicator 2.0
It is available the new jolla Communicator 2.0: http://www.messaggiero.it/blogpost.php?id_images=10
English resume:
After several months since the first version of JollaCommunicator 1.0, and with the arrival of the new year I found some time to build the new version of JollaCommunicator 2.0. Indeed, the development of the previous version 1.0, made with Gambas, was finally dropped in favor of rewriting the software environment in java so as to make it available for any operating system. As a result, this new version is available for Ubuntu Linux (Debian and derivatives) and for Microsoft Windows; I hope that users will find useful the Microsoft version.
Changelog version 2.0:
- Cross-platform Linux / Windows
- Integration with Jolla Notes: can read / edit / add notes.
- New features to save locally on your PC photos and videos made with the camera of Jolla.
- Export messages (sms) on file in CSV format (so you can import to spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel, Write Libre Office and other)
I have also several new ideas that I want to develop for the upcoming new releases of the software.
Terms and conditions: The software is to be considered in beta and the installation and use is free. Be careful, as this software allows the cancellation of received SMS messages, each one is personally responsible for any loss or damage, however caused the message from the use of the following software provided completely free of charge.
Thanks! However, after I've configured the connection and press Connect, a wait cursor appears but nothing more happens.

Also, why include the entire jre in the .deb? Security-wise I'd prefer using the distro's jre, as it gets security updates.
Fuzzillogic ( 2016-02-13 16:45:07 +0200 )editMessaggiero.. Congrats!! The best tool I found here. You think that in a future update there can be added some features like the possibility to delete files in Jolla or to configure contacts details?
aki ( 2016-02-13 16:59:59 +0200 )editI have zero interest in finding out what a project is about since the author didn't bother to write its description in English.
Okw ( 2016-02-13 17:53:38 +0200 )edit@Okw, https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A//www.messaggiero.it/blogpost.php%3Fid_images%3D10 ;)
The translation is actually surprisingly good and the tool itself doesn't look half bad, based on the description on that page. I have yet to try it. I wonder if the tool can speak English 'coz I for sure can't speak Italian.
pichlo ( 2016-02-13 18:14:52 +0200 )edit@pichlo, it's not that I couldn't use translate. It's simply about the authors general ignorance towards an international community.
