2.0.1.7 issue with caldav event and owncloud 8.2.2
My local public transportation company also provides *.ics-files to add planned travel dates to a calendar. The last times I used this files the events were never shown in my Jollas calendar. The first time I realized this behavior the file was added with evolution PIM, the last time I imported the file directly in owncloud (in "files" single click on *.ics-file and import to calendar).
The event is shown in owncloud itself, in evolution and gnome-shell (even on my netbook without evolution so it seems to get the data from owncloud configured in gnome-online-accounts and not from evolution) but on my Jolla I don't see it.
I can provide an example file and an owncloud test-account if this will help.
Hi mdosch, can you clarify for me:
1) are you saying that importing the standalone .ics file (via the jolla-calendar import functionality) fails (or at least, the content of that .ics file doesn't thereafter show up in the calendar)?
2) or are you saying that even after you put that event data into your owncloud service, subsequent syncs don't pull down that data from the owncloud server?
If (1) then please send an example file which fails to import to me - chris dot adams at jolla dot com.
If (2) then please note that we currently have a limitation where newly-added calendars won't be synced by an existing account, so if the events on your owncloud server are on a different calendar (collection) than the one which you selected to sync when you added the account, then they won't be synced. To get them to sync, you'd need to remove and re-add the CalDAV account on your device. Solving this issue has been on our TODO list for some time, but due to resource constraints we haven't been able to get to solving that one, yet.

1) I haven't tried importing this file via jolla-calendar import 2) It happend when importing the files from public transportation to my calendar via owncloud itself or importing via evolution (Gnomes PIM)
It was imported to my main calendar which is synced to my Jolla not to a new one so I'm not affected by this issue you refer to.
I will provide you the file and a test account anyway. Maybe it's just the file. But I wonder all other programs connected to the owncloud calendar are showing the client so it looks more like an SFOS issue.
mdosch ( 2016-03-03 10:25:38 +0200 )editI didn't get a chance to investigate this last week (I did receive your email with the file + account details - thanks) but hopefully will get a chance this week. I will update this thread with info.
chris.adams ( 2016-03-07 05:39:16 +0200 )editI'm sorry but last weekend I managed to damage my owncloud installation so sync is not working at all right now. Hope I get the time to fix it this week.
mdosch ( 2016-03-07 18:42:54 +0200 )editI am experiencing the exact same problem with owncloud 9.1.0 and since update to SFOS 2.0.2.17. Before that update I was able to see events imported by web interface from an ICS file. Now everything syncs except for those events imported from an ICS file. Still have that problem with latest update 2.0.4.14. Any update on this?
