Situation: A call while headphones (not headset) are connected to the other half

expected: change the volume of the caller through the volume rocker

result: always very loud volume. have to adjust the headphones so they are not too close to my ears

Experienced the same. In my case I was listening an audiobook when incoming call interrupted it; the volume button seemed to do something (I saw the volume indicator on screen, even "muted" indicator), but call volume did not change so I thought that volume control was controlling audiobook instead.

Same thing happens when using loundspeaker in phonecall, can't control volume even if you adjust it to muted state. Very annoying.

Whether loudspeaker or even earspeaker - if going to "silent" mode it's not silent.

For me it's when making a "normal" call with the earpiece/speaker. If I press the volume rocker I can see the volume bar move, but it seems that that is for media playback, since the cal volume doesn't change.

I had that issue with my new headset (Plantronics M165) after I paired a second device (android) I was unable to change the volume on both devices even after I disconnected the Jolla. Having only the Jolla paired works so far.
