@Markkyboy, what answer!? This just says to speak to jolla but this doesn't explain anyhow how to reset it.

@megalith - What on earth do you mean, "what answer!?" - the answer I gave in the link. I never said "here's how to fix it" - more to the point; if fixing a forgotten password was easy to do, don't you think there would already be a flood of answers and comments here?, and furthermore, why are you quizzing me?, have you forgotten your password as well?, and why even have the facility of password protection if it is so easy to undo - so, yeah, contact Jolla!

Because the forum is full of this information which does not help any furhter and because i felt to do so (nothing personal) ... and funny enough for me is that your reaction might somebody interpret as that its more or less a truth. But anyway don't want to bother you any furhter ;).

It is indeed no answer, better point out that it is probably a 5digit code and link to my how-to unlock permanent device lock, after that you can point to zendesk with instr. to send it in for repairs or find a Sailor nearby that can flash it for you.
