Hey all,

I don't really know if it is a sailfish issue or an issue with the Fairphone 2 port, however when someone calls me, the phone makes a very tiny vibration (nearly nothing) while the setting is on "always vibrate".

I would like it to vibrate long enough for me to feel it in my pocket :)

Could not find any setting for this anywhere, could anyone tell me more about it ?

Thank you all !

To me it sound like it is working just like the Jolla Phone ;)

sooo... There would be no way to have a real vibration on call ?

This is quite annoying; I think more and more people usually leave their phone on vibrate mode and forget about it, instead of constantly switching with silence mode everytime you have a meeting... no ?

I don't have a comparison except my old iPhone4, but both seem to have a comparable vibration strength.

btw: which battery-life do you get from SFOS on FP2? My one is less than good, even when it is resting on the table with 3G and only tweetian and mail (check every 30 minutes), battery decreases by about 7...10% per hour :-(

second btw: does.your phone gets unresponsable, too if in a call the other person hangs up?

So for you the vibration is more than a bip ? It does not even last half a second on mine, nearly nothing :/

Regarding your other points: - My battery life feels a bit better than with android. I had approx 1 or 1,3 days with android, now it is more like 1,3 - 2 days, but not in heavy usage. - No trouble with the phone app so far for me, except that when calling, I always hear an extra ringin even if the other person already responded, a bit weird ^^

Vibrator bug? ;)

I recently had the opportunity to play around with a Fairphone 2. When you remove the back cover you can literally see the vibrating motor and the off-center weight - it is not encased. Maybe something is just blocking it...

This is a known problem with the Sailfish OS port for Fairphone 2. There are two APIs for the vibrator and currently Fairphone 2 port only supports the simple one. Support for the better API requires a new kernel driver which I have been investigating but it doesn't work yet. No estimation when it will work can be given yet.
