Are new contacts added to SIM?
I imported contacts from sim card to Jolla, but the question is when I add a new contact, is Jolla saving the contact to sim card?

Thanks for answer. How safety copy is working? Can you just import backimp only contacts?
Karfindel ( 2014-01-10 23:01:45 +0300 )Correct, nothing is written to the SIM card. I don't believe any modern phone systems will write contacts to SIM cards any longer.
MattVogt ( 2014-01-15 08:26:21 +0300 )@MattVogt: not by default, no, but many offer the option to copy or move contacts to SIM. Results vary of course because of limited information possible on a SIM contact, and varying smartness of converting a full-fledged contact to a SIM contact (which phone number to store etc.)
nephros ( 2014-01-16 13:56:57 +0300 )Copying and moving contacts could be added as optional feature if someone still wants to have "backup" on sim card for contacts at some point.
TimTTK ( 2014-01-28 00:20:21 +0300 )Please vote for the following question to get the option of beeing able to save contacts to the SIM: https://together.jolla.com/question/23127/full-control-over-contacts-and-their-storage-location-in-people-app/ :)
