Sending SMS from Adnroid app in 2.0.1.11

Release notes for 2.0.1.11 says SMS sending support is added for Android. Now I updated my phone and tried using iMobile a banking application in India which needs to send SMS to register itself. It still can't send the SMS and the behavior remains same as previous Sailfish OS release.
So my question is what exactly Jolla means by saying "SMS sending support"?.
PS: there might be other threads on SMS support for Android apps in Sailfish but this is not the same question. This is specific to release 2.0.1.11 which claims SMS support is added for Android apps.
For EA 2.0.1.8 this was in changelog aswell and got removed because it was not there. I think it might be a copy and paste mistake in the release changelog
