Cannot update to 2.0.1.11 error "try again"
Hello,
I tried to install the update to 2.0.1.11 but only get a message that it is not possible and that I should try it later again and that the phone will restart after pressing OK. I tried it around 20 times yesterday and today. Optimization is fine and all apps are updated. No Warehouse installed.
Can anybody help me or has the same problem?
Update 17.5.2016 10 am: Still no chance to install the update. The original message is: Sailfish OS konnte nicht aktualisiert werden. Bitte versuche es später erneut. Sailfish OS Logo. Das Gerät wird jetzt neu gestartet. OK
my translation: Sailfish OS could not be updated. Please try again later. Sailfish OS Logo. The device will reboot now. OK
What can I do? Can someone help me, at least those who programmed this message.
Update 17.05.2016 3pm: Thanks for your comments. Before I read them, however, I unistalled all apps from aptoide and the aptoide store. Then I tried to install the update again. The error message did not occur, but there is no progress. The bar is completly dark grey and nothing happened since 2 hours. What can I do? Wait longer? Remove the battery and hope the best? I checked brtfs-balancer balance a few days ago and I remenber a value of 69%.
Update 18.05.2016: I removed the battery and my phone rebooted with the old version. A next try to install the update led to the old problem "try again later". brtfs-balancer balance gives: No balancing required. 69% allocated.
The last entry in the systemupdate.log is from November: Nov 06 08:28:10 Jolla DSME[483]: Reboot Nov 06 08:28:10 Jolla DSME[483]: Issuing /bin/systemctl --no-block reboot Nov 06 08:28:10 Jolla systemd[1]: Stopping OS update logging...
Do I have to delete the systemupdate.log to get new log entries? Or what else can I do to get new log info?
Update: I tried it again and again and finally it worked! Thanks again for your comments!
Martin
What does brtfs-balancer balance output when you execute it in a terminal?
ozzi776 ( 2016-05-17 12:40:18 +0200 )editYou can check the system update log in /var/log/systemupdate.log and look for errors from store-client and packagekitd. That should give some more details on what goes wrong.
Keto ( 2016-05-17 13:14:34 +0200 )editjust wait another 2 hours, if until then nothing happens i guess you just "hard reboot" it...
ozzi776 ( 2016-05-17 17:10:31 +0200 )editI had the same issue and I found the following row in the logs: *.jolla_0.4.12_10.2.1.jolla.noarch.drpm': Error code: Connection failed Error message: Couldn't resolve host 'releases.jolla.com' "
So I think someone at jolla messed up with the DNS update.
