here location service seems not to work

Hi, I happened to travel on a new train that shields GPS signal (on older trains instead the GPS signal is good enough to have a fix with 4-5 satellites even if not seating next to the window), so I turned on the Here location service. I expected to see a location based on the cell towers available nearby, but instead the Jolla maps app showed the last location with a GPS fix (the train station). The train also had wifi service but of course the wifi SSID can't be mapped to a location. The jolla phone had a steady 4G/3G signal for the whole journey, it also acted as wifi hotspot during the trip.

I also used other GPS app like GPSInfo it showed no GPS location.

It seems to me that here location isn't working at all, or at least does not work if only cell towers location is available. Is it so?

thank you

A (maybe) stupid question, but you do have the A-GPS turned on, do you?

what do you mean by A-GPS? I have GPS ON and Here location ON (on Location settings I have only those 2 options)

Just tried with wlan disabled and got my location right about 500m away from the real location.

@tigeli was GPS already on or did you enable it just before enabling here location?

@c.la It was enabled, but device on which I tried had been out of battery for a week, and the given position was based on the cellular as I know for certain that wlan-based positioning with HERE on that location is within 10-15m accuracy.
