Hi
when I open a GPS-using app (e.g.Sailfish Maps), the GPS icon first flashes as it seeks a fix. Then just as the GPS gets a fix and the icon stops flashing, I get a blue "connected" notification banner on the top of the screen with the WLAN icon.
I think this notification should have the GPS icon, and the text "GPS location acquired" or similar.
The same behaviour applies to Android GPS apps

First few things:
Therefore "Wlan connected"-notification will happen when using an application which uses GPS while connected to wlan access point due the phone will first disconnect from wlan to connect to mobile data and then back to wlan after it get's AGPS data. This will not happen while not connected to wlan access point.
With Android you will get extra notifications "searching for gps" and "location acquired" but with native application there's no such notifications (other than the gps identifier on the homescreen).
And yes, we are working on enabling multiple connections being connected at the same time.
thanks: that makes sense (thought I had to read it twice). So while starting the GPS, the WLAN connection is dropped in favour of the cellular connection for the Assisted part of A-GPS. Once that is finished the WLAN is reconnected, giving an indirect indication that the GPS has a fix (or soon will)
