96% at lunchtime? After taking it off the charger when? 11:35?

No, this is not a troll. I am always amazed at people claiming a long battery life and always ask, how on earth do they do it? I take my Jolla off the charger with a 100% battery, jump in the car and drive to work. By the time I get there in just under an hour, the battery indicator says 89%. Four days out of a single charge is completely unrealistic. If I am lucky and do not use the phone at all, I can just about manage two.

What impresses my colleagues: a double tap on the screen to wake it up. Simple and definitely not unique but surprisingly few phones have that feature.

Here you are ->(my battery time)<-. I have Bluetooth, 4G and WiFi on and usualy 9 to 12 apps open. And my phone is two and a half years old.

Please search this forum for "battery" entries. Myself, I had problems with the battery contact resulting in a one day battery live. (just clean the contacts and put a folded piece of paper to push the battery). Also upgrade to the newest version and check with ps -ef if a process is using to much CPU.

@tomtom, your screenshot shows 2 days of battery life. Exactly what I get if I leave the phone on standby all the time, but it goes down like a ton of bricks the moment I start using it for anything.

I know there are a lot of discussions about the battery life and I did not intend to start another one. The only reason I mentioned it was your "do not invent" clause. Using the battery life as Jolla's selling point would be rather dubious if even the members of the community cannot agree on it. The best would be not mentioning it at all.

@pichlo Your driving to work is the "problem": My Jolla has incredible battery life if you stay within your cell tower range (maybe not 4 days, but 3 with little usage), but as soon as you hop onto a train or drive a car you can almost watch it get drained. The handover to a new cell tower seems to eat huge amounts of electricity. My Android phone handles this a lot better. Not sure what's the reason here, hardware or software... PS: I have Wifi and bluetooth turned off most of the time, this also helps, uhem

@Bimberle: This I have also seen. When I'm much traveling through a day and barely touch the phone, it is still empty at the end of the day but If I'm just sitting at home and don't touch it I sometimes have 45% left in the evening. I guess here lies some potential for improvement in the Firmware.
