Does developer mode affect the future updates? [answered]

I'm thinking about check out the developer mode to configure the WLAN of my workplace doing the steps explained in https://together.jolla.com/question/315/how-to-wpa-8021x-enterprise-eduroam-others-gui-wifi-support-needed-workaround/ Does developer mode affect the future updates? Should I turn it off to update the phone or is not necessary? Thanks

Turning on dev mode is the first thing I do on any Jolla device. I never had problems with updates. (Some of my devices are in the early access program for OS updates, some are not - makes no difference either. Dev mode is safe.)

Not a definate answer, but from my experience it does not make a difference regarding updates. I am having developer mode activated all the time since 2,5+ years so my home server can periodically fetch changed backups and new fotos via ssh from my jolla when it connects to my home wifi.

If you concider to leave dev-mode activated be advised that the openssh server is runnig, so give a REALLY long passphrase you will not use to connect but set up rsa verfication by copying your clients public keys to jollas openssh authorized keys.
