This is mostly for the Finnish people here, I'm using the Jolla for a while to take a break from the Lumia but I'm having issue with the Pivo app. When I register and the app starts it will not let me use it because for it the device is in developer mode. The phone is not in developer mode now but it was in the past.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks!

Perhaps something similar to the (Belgian) Proximus issue: some lazy developers just look for “su” (superuser) binary in the system folders, then prevent the user from running their app, as she/he is supposed to be a dangerous hacker. So I rename “su” as “us” temporarily and that's it.

Depending on the lazy developer you are dealing with, this issue may be related to "sudo" as well (to be found in /bin and/or /usr/bin)

After NFC payment was enabled in Pivo the app started to require non-rooted device. I am using old version of the app which is working fine.

There is a working version of Pivo (2.0.2 which disappeared from Jolla Store) in Aptoide 'APKX' store repo. No su renaming needed! Thought Pivo rants about gapps (Google) services not being installed. But I think you can remove gapps ranting from that .apk using crackberry forum (link below) PC-application to remove Google Service dependencies. I patched OP-mobiili(uusi) with GooglePlayDownloader 1.8 + signature remover successfully AND NO MORE the usual greeting: "Google Play Services is not installed on your device" :)

Thanks this worked perfectly. No need for the new features. The app is not even complaining about the google services (maybe because they are installed in my device).

As objectifnul says, this is probably the same issue as the below, and may be fixable with that nasty hack https://together.jolla.com/question/28907/problem-android-application-believes-that-it-is-installed-on-a-rooted-device/

I asked this from Op Bank, and they answered: "Valitettavasti emme tue enää Jolla-puhelimia, eikä tilanteeseen ole odotettavissa muutoksia." (Sorry, we don't support Jolla any more, don't except any changes.)

So, if you have older version of Pivo and Op-mobiili, don't update them!

You can ask them again when we have Sony Xperia Xs running sailfish. "Why Pivo does not not work on my Sony?.."

OP's attitude will change when SailfishOS gains market share. At the moment it's share is barely measurable, but maybe after few years when Sailfish appears is similar to windows phone's (less than 10%?), it starts to attract attention.
