Needs Android 4.4, so if you are trying to install on Jolla 1 then you are out of luck as this only has Android 4.1, and we have been told there almost no likelihood of this ever being upgraded.
https://yadi.sk/d/On-k0MyetGjjD - version for 4.0.4+. This is unofficial mod, but works fine for me. But servers are overloaded :D
does gps work for you with the mod? i don't get a gps signal in the modified app
_kassiopeia_ ( 2016-07-14 23:18:58 +0200 )editFor me also Jolla1 2.0.2.45, Google play installed. Works most times fine but the App always freezes after catching a Pokemon. After restarting I can go on Playing.
PiroMaster ( 2016-07-15 11:32:58 +0200 )editI installed the mod version, then google play store, google services and google maps. Now it works with the pokemon account. Servers are overloaded, so it hangs often. Sometimes gps is not working, restarting alien fixes it most of the time.
It doesn't work anymore, needs to updated apk (version 0.31.0). I don't know where to get good one, without any shit coming with it.
Yeah updated, thanks, I didn't notice the update cause 0.33 was still working. http://sthocs.free.fr/pokemongo_0.35_jolla.apk
Sthocs ( 2016-08-25 11:48:27 +0200 )editHi within JollaC I installed the pokemon go version of the aptoid appstore as google playstore always indicates an incorrect android version.
JollaC cant support AR mode? I found there is no pokemon when AR is on
My self-hosted solution is to install an APK Editor app, then to download a clean apk of Pokemon from APKmirror. Fire up the APK editor and change the SDK version down to 16 (v4.1) and you're good to go.
The latest update (0.37) blocks rooted devices, which includes Jollas with Alien Dalvik. :(
At the time of writing, older versions continue to work, and I'm investigating whether a solution involving Magisk can mask the root sufficiently. I'll report back if I find anything...
mr_jrt ( 2016-09-11 01:56:52 +0200 )editI just tried to hide /opt/alien/bin/su, but either I forgot something or it doesn't work.
Sir_Tyrann ( 2016-09-11 16:29:36 +0200 )editIt's to bad that the temp. unroot option from the Aliendalvik Superuser by @coderus doesn't work. It might be a good solution for this

In Jolla Tablet (someone said it has Android compatibilty up to 4.4. Anyone to confirm?) it installs, but the app shows only the first screen an then goes black. Any luck with Jolla C? Does anyone know what Android version does its compatibilty reach?
Moshroom ( 2016-07-12 16:33:16 +0200 )editJolla Tablet cannot play too :(
BirdZhang ( 2016-07-12 17:48:46 +0200 )editI do not tend to be a conspiracy paranoic. Anyhow these are pretty good and logical arguments... (I think I have seen too much thrillers)....... http://blackbag.gawker.com/pokemon-go-is-a-government-surveillance-psyop-conspirac-1783461240
lupastro ( 2016-07-12 18:49:24 +0200 )editWho knows, maybe North Korea is filled with rare Pokemons?
Moshroom ( 2016-07-12 20:41:50 +0200 )editWell lets fly there ( North Korea) and find out, but first i have to run the game on my jolla.............
