Does anyoneone have a clue how to install pokemon go? While trying to install i get a parsing error.

In Jolla Tablet (someone said it has Android compatibilty up to 4.4. Anyone to confirm?) it installs, but the app shows only the first screen an then goes black. Any luck with Jolla C? Does anyone know what Android version does its compatibilty reach?

Needs Android 4.4, so if you are trying to install on Jolla 1 then you are out of luck as this only has Android 4.1, and we have been told there almost no likelihood of this ever being upgraded.

have you been able to play yet on jolla? works on my nexus 7 everytime, but with this it just keeps connecting to google account.

Works so far here until i shall catch my first Pokemon. My char is just standing among the three pokemons and I can zoom and turn the view. On click some light appears on the ground an sound but I can't take any action.

GPS is not working for me and the game neither. Character is only standing on blue ground, all the other features works fine

For me also Jolla1 2.0.2.45, Google play installed. Works most times fine but the App always freezes after catching a Pokemon. After restarting I can go on Playing.

I installed the mod version, then google play store, google services and google maps. Now it works with the pokemon account. Servers are overloaded, so it hangs often. Sometimes gps is not working, restarting alien fixes it most of the time.

It doesn't work anymore, needs to updated apk (version 0.31.0). I don't know where to get good one, without any shit coming with it.

Hi within JollaC I installed the pokemon go version of the aptoid appstore as google playstore always indicates an incorrect android version.

Jolla C is for some reason missing the magnetic compass and IIRC also the gyroscope needed for AR mode support (and AR applications in general).

My self-hosted solution is to install an APK Editor app, then to download a clean apk of Pokemon from APKmirror. Fire up the APK editor and change the SDK version down to 16 (v4.1) and you're good to go.

The latest update (0.37) blocks rooted devices, which includes Jollas with Alien Dalvik. :(

At the time of writing, older versions continue to work, and I'm investigating whether a solution involving Magisk can mask the root sufficiently. I'll report back if I find anything...

It's to bad that the temp. unroot option from the Aliendalvik Superuser by @coderus doesn't work. It might be a good solution for this
