Hello everybody,

does anyone have the same problem? After booting the Phone all timestamps are correct, even the timestamp of last online. But after some minutes of using the phone Whatsapp shows wrong Timestamps.

For example: One Contact was last online at 6:11 but Whatsapp on Jolla C shows me 6:23. and half an hour later it shows 6:50 but in Whatsappweb still 6:11 is the last time online.

Same with messages i sent or recieve, but after a reboot of the Android component, everything is as it should be and all Timestamps are correct. Seems if the Clock of the Android System runs faster than the System Clock. Someone knows where the Problem is?

Greetings

Update: This morning, i installed Version 2.16.230 of Whatsapp and till now there are all timestamps correct. All Versions released before 2.16.230 showed wrong timestamps after some Minutes of using WA. I'll give you an update in the evening if all working as it should.

Update 2: The last days i recognized, that if the wrong time is shown and i disconnect wlan and mobile connection and the reconnect the correct time is shown.

I have seen similar effects. This morning I wrote a message at around 06:06 AM. When I looked in the chat later, the timestamp of my message showed 05:55 AM. Also the other timestamps in the chat where all of.

Also I have noticed this. What is funny when I answer to message time stamp shows earlier time than the message for which I just answered...

Can you please explain better the part about the online times of your contacts? Can you specify what was the actual time when you read those times, and what time was shown by your Jolla C on SailfishOS?

Ok i try.

So i booted the phone everything is as it should.

I start Whatsapp at take a look at a contact. WA shows me that the contact was last online at 6:00 AM. 15 minutes later i take a look and WA shows the contact was online at 6:06 AM. When i restart the Android part of Sailfish and look again at this contact it shows 6:00 AM.

The same you can see if you have WA for PC running prallel. The PC Version shows the correct time (6:00 AM) But Phone shows after some minutes running the wrong time. Its always that it shows a later time then the correct time.

I try to make a picture maybe it's easier to understand than.

I look with the command date what time the phone has. but here the time i correct and the same as on my PC.

Thank you for your clarification. I asked because I noticed that sometimes some contacts appeared to have replied earlier than other contacts that actually replied before them. I think that this is due to the fact that the time shown is the one announced by the contact, and not the local time. This issue appears to be a different one though.

with messages it is the same. the longer the devices runs the more the time differs from the correct time. but after reboot everything has its correct timestamps.

After updating Whatsapp to 2.16.231 I have had no problems with timestamps anymore.
