Bluetooth file exchange with MacBook doesnt work? [answered]
Has anybody been able to use a macbook pro to send files, images etc via bluetooth to the sailfish phone?
I am trying to send using bluetooth 2.0 macbook pro 2011 to sailfish 2.0.3.14 and while pairing succeeds initially, follow on connections are not and sending files in either direction doesnt work because it says its Not Connected and suggests re-pairing the devices which i already did multiple times with no luck. I hate sending myself emails with files :-/ not to mention how insecure email is.
I have a Jolla 1 and a Mac Mini and I am able to transfer files to and fro between the two devices without issues. Make sure that in System Preferences > Sharing > Bluetooth Sharing is enabled.

I have opted to Show Bluetooth in the menu bar" and when I want to send a file, I click the Bluetooth icon on the menu bar and it shows me 'Jolla' in the menu, and from the 'Jolla' sub menu, I just click the 'Send File to Device' option. Works fine.
sifartech ( 2016-09-22 03:43:28 +0300 )If you only want to transfer photos and videos, I have also used 'Image Capture' successfully (after connecting the Jolla to the Mac, through USB). The only thing is it is a pain to search for the photo and video you need, as it loads images from everywhere in Jolla (even from your mail).
sifartech ( 2016-09-22 03:44:45 +0300 )sifartech it might be a hardware or driver fault on my macbook, so i don't think i can do anything at this point since you and other people have not had those issues. I am using BETA Sierra.
