Hi,
When I added my Facebook account birthday notifcation started popping up all the time. Now I have removed the account from the phone but notifications is still in the phone. How do I do to get rid of them?

I have done that, but I still get reminders for birthdays. There is no way to delete the birthday calendar that I have figured out.

I am not sure if this is an answer or workaround :) but when your calendar app is open, pull down the pulley, there is Manage calendars. Uncheck the Birthdays or whichever other calendar you want to get rid of. It won't be removed as such, but at least the content is hidden from the calendar.
We would need an option to also remove entirely a calendar from the list that appears in the "Manage calendar" menu. Hiding notifications is not enough.

I think there should be a longpress menu allowing the user to remove / purge a calendar in the list.
