[BUG] Special length of SMS causes whole SMS to be received empty (2.0.2.51)
Receiving SMS:
123 12345! 1234 123456? 123456 123 123456 12345 123456789 123456! ๐:-)ใ3
The SMS is received empty. It is important to fix this because receiver could think an empty SMS has been sent by accident, causing the receiver to miss important communication!
Update: This bug is still repeatable on 2.0.4.14. Last weekend I received three SMS that showed up curtailed. Only beginning was visible, so not complitely empty. All contained emojis.
To clarify and to test. Is the message length 73 characters? Do I need to have smileys in the message to have that bug?
Rikujolla ( 2016-10-16 22:26:03 +0200 )editYes smileys need to be included. Could you copy paste the message? I believe the space between the last smiley and the left arrow is a tab. Not 100% sure.
alloj ( 2016-10-17 09:47:47 +0200 )editI managed to send this special SMS to myself and it is received empty. If you have trouble repeating the bug and you work for Jolla I can send you the SMS if you provide me your number.
alloj ( 2016-10-17 11:21:00 +0200 )editThe sequence as follows fails also. If I change the location of the smiley, the message is received. Still I'm wondering how to invent that kind of message. The key for a bug seems to be a length of a message combined to a special position of a smiley in a sequence. 123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456๐89012
Rikujolla ( 2016-10-18 11:13:04 +0200 )editUnicode value for smiley face with heart shaped eyes is U+1F60D. Is the ending 0D incorrectly read as carriage return?
