Hey, I recently added a new folder in my email account (Outlook.com), and I saw that it was impossible to refresh the list of folders in the Email app (I configured it using IMAP). To solve that, I simply deleted the account and created it again. At creation, it correctly retrieve the entire folders list. I know there are many requests for the Email app but here is another one:

  • Add an option in the folders view to resynchronize the folders list.

Thanks.

It's a good suggestion, but no need to delete the account at the moment, if you sync from combined inbox(sync all accounts) or from the cover action, the list of folder will be update, if you try this and does not work please let me know.

Indeed, it works as you say. I had assumed that doing an "Update all" from combined inbox would be the equivalent of doing an "Update" in each email account, but it apparently does more. I think that's something to clarify as well, but until then, thanks for the info!

I am not sure how heavy a folder list update is. If it is heavy, it should be separated from a more frequently used mail item update. But there should be a hint somewhere. If not so heavy, why let the "Update" for a single account also check the folder list, and update it?

For me this solution does not work. I am using a Google Apps/ GMail mailbox and there is not option to update the folderliste. If I create a new folder it will never appear on the Jolla. Only solution is to delete the whole account from the phone and set it up again.

Or is there something I missed?
