More info about sudden battery drop

As post https://together.jolla.com/question/40196/immediate-battery-level-drop-from-more-than-half-charged-to-empty/ said, battery could drop suddenly itself. Recently I searched online and found that it also happens to some Nokia N9s. In this post http://bbs.dospy.com/thread-16057930-1-464-1.html (Chinese only), #7 reply said N9's battery dropped from approximately 70%-80% to 4% when taking video. Notice that "4%", it exactly as same as that on Jolla. And #6 reply mentioned that it can happen when using apps which are using much battery. And I remembered that the sudden battery drops always happened when using QQLite, an Android app using much battery. And, it happened when using Android app to have video chat, obiviously using much battery. When your Jolla battery is lower than 50%, 40% or less, it's more likely to happen.
So more info is
- It may be a problem inherited Meego Harmatthan. Is it a problem of the bottom of OS?
- It always happens when battery is low.
- It always happens when using apps using much battery.
- Battery drops to 4%, then to 0%.
I need to say sorry here because breaking the rules of duplicate post. I think battery management should be one of the most fundamental function of a mobile OS. Who would be satisfied with a phone that suddenly lost power? Jolla had done much to solve related problems, but regretfully that this has not been solved. Just hope Jolla can pay much more attention to this problem.
2016.11.20: Apple said some iPhone 6s sudden shut down cases happened recently in China is SoC related case. Maybr similar to Jolla?
2016.11.24: happens again and again. screenshots taken days ago.
2016.12.09: seems related to cpu usage.
2017.1.10: once again when having video chat with wechat. battery was more than 60%. and it shown startup wizard after restart. some settings were set to default.
I agree. This happened to me this morning. My battery was on 46%, I was listening to a podcast and playing Candy Crush Soda (I know) and after 3 minutes the phone informed me it was shutting down. On powering it up again it was at 26%.
This does not happen every time in these conditions. I have yet to identify what is different at these times.

I think, there is more about the characteristics and chemistry of the battery. And how the system interprets it. But is this really a bug? I have no idea.

LVPVS ( 2016-11-18 09:56:11 +0200 )editYes, with N9 the use of Profilematic helped to eliminate this battery drop. I don't know if Situations does the same. However I have not meet that because I have Situations in my Jolla 1 + Jolla C.

fishegg ( 2016-11-19 02:59:12 +0200 )edit@fishegg, I am not telling it is good, I just said I did not think it was hardware-related. As N9 did not have user-removable battery, most likely this is not a contact-issue.
I think that at a specific level of SoC and below a voltage drop due to heavier use has more impact on the system and the software responds on it a bit too early and shuts down gracefully. After rebooting the normal SoC is shown.
