USB connection crashes car's entertainment system and phone not appearing in Windows [not relevant]

This all started some time ago. I have a strong feeling that it was some OS update that released this USB-demon...

I connected Jolla 1 to car's (VW Golf) USB connector to charge the phone. At the same time the whole entertainment system of VW blacked out and wouldn't start again if I didn't remove the Jolla from it. First I thought that USB cable is damaged and changed it but same behaviour. And at the same time Jolla speaks nicely with entertainment system via Bluetooth, no problems. I didn't worry about this so much, because I can do the charging from any other charger, all works. But the VW goes haywire when connected with Jolla nowadays. (VW system not updated, was not in service when this started) But Jolla updates kept coming...

Anyway, now I can't get my Jolla to appear as a Windows drive either anymore. And I'm confident this started the same day as the car problem (I just haven't connected phone lately to computer). Tried with 3 different computers (all Win10), different cables, with Jolla rebooted, without any app running. I see that Jolla recognizes computer connection ("Computer connection in use" in USB settings). But Windows won't show anything, not even in Disk Management. And I can wait hours, but Jolla won't appear (if it was building thumbnails). Ans yes, tried connecting+reconnecting thousand times. No luck.

Any help would be appreciated :-)

At the moment running 2.0.5.6

There might be something wrong with your phone, because my Jolla (SFOS 2.0.5.6) connects nicely to Win7 on first try. Can't comment on connecting to car entertainment system via USB because I use BT for that, but maybe I can try that next time I drive somewhere.

Suddenly it started to work again. Both with the car and the computers. This was after Iijoki update of Jolla phone. Car was NOT in service before connection started work again.

I have a VW Golf and have connected Jolla 1 up to it with no problems, I suspect that it may be a fault with the cars entertainment system. If I were you I'd take it back to the dealer and see if they can troubleshoot it for you?
